C. R. Sinclair received his BBA from City (Baruch) College, New York City, in June 1971. A week after graduation, he continued at NYU, Stern “B” School, receiving his MBA in Finance in June 1974.

Interested in writing, he took several creative and screenwriting courses taught in New York City and later at UCSF in San Francisco. His most memorable teacher was Paddy Chayefsky, the Oscar winner for Marty and Network, whose compass of social responsibility and writing style impressed Carl most.

After twenty years in different positions and in different countries, with such industry luminaries as Bechtel, Fluor, Parsons, NY State Dept. of Commerce, and Northrop-Grumman/NASA Space Station, Carl turned to consultancy, writing and painting. Beside articles and screenplays, he wrote and illustrated a “cult” book entitled Elvis A. Eagle: A Magical Adventure. Its two editions sold out, with the help of the NY Times and the Internet, almost immediately. It is now available as e-book in several languages on Kindle and iTunes, and also as a screenplay for an animated movie.

Carl’s latest (finished) screenplay – written in the style of his beloved teacher Paddy Chayefsky – is The American Solution; a powerful, internationally-targeted psychological drama about an engineer, turned corporate lawyer who, losing his mind/control and fighting back, refuses to become a victim of globalization.

At present, Carl is working on three other projects:

  1. A weekly blog at iDnes (main Czech newspaper) here (or Czech It Out link Below)
  2. TV series pilot Cameron Forte. A sophisticated uptake on the Upfield Boney’s books about an initiated Aborigine detective (with a great deal of attitude!) named Cameron Forte who, with the help of Dreamtime and 6th sense instead of a gun, solves sophisticated crimes. In the first episode, Six Deadly Numbers, Cameron solves the murder of a world-renown Aussie statistician who proves without the shade of a doubt that someone is “fixing” the State Lottery.
  3. SPRAY! A stage play and screenplay about graffiti “artists”.
